Have you ever gotten those beautiful smelling soaps in those little boxes that the drawer pulls out? Have you ever wondered what to do with them?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Well I had 2 of them, and I decided to put them together.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have a lot of the romantic novel papers , from Marion Smith, I also have some of her digital printout papers, that go with that line,<br />
they are called vintage telegram, she also has a new digital printout, vintage telegram rolled rose . </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You can find her products here</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.marionsmithdesigns.com/shop-1/digital-templates.html?limit=all"><span style="color: #990000;">http://www.marionsmithdesigns.com/shop-1/digital-templates.html?limit=all</span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used the paper line romantic novel for the main covering , then I used the digital printable extras , with the rolled rose , for the extras . </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
again I took these pictures into creative suite, and changed up the background .</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iet2J7J9fI8/UYJmmZgpdAI/AAAAAAAAAvw/Y2D5VqdaWeA/s1600/altered+box+left+side.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="306" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-iet2J7J9fI8/UYJmmZgpdAI/AAAAAAAAAvw/Y2D5VqdaWeA/s320/altered+box+left+side.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div align="center">
This is the left side view as you can see, I put 2 of the soapboxes together .<br />
Printed out the coin envelope and attached it to the left side,<br />
inside the envelope are 3 to 4 tags for notes. <br />
I used a 6 x 6 paper pack which fit with just a little trimming along the side .<br />
you can also see the drawer fronts, I had 2 leftover Tim Holtz drawer pulls and used those.</div>
<div align="center">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rTxWLkxvKkY/UYJmoAUhyAI/AAAAAAAAAv4/Rql1PUWoCn8/s1600/altered+box+right.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rTxWLkxvKkY/UYJmoAUhyAI/AAAAAAAAAv4/Rql1PUWoCn8/s320/altered+box+right.jpg" width="317" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
here's the right side </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
with the romantic novel line, you could get these mini clothespins that matched. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I attached it further back on the right side, so that I could add extra ephemera, and also give me a place for extra notes . </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I printed out the tags and stamps from Marion Smith printables and use them in the clip . </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tVJGFEnKJw8/UYJmo371coI/AAAAAAAAAwA/ELw5psXsriU/s1600/altered+boxes+top.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-tVJGFEnKJw8/UYJmo371coI/AAAAAAAAAwA/ELw5psXsriU/s320/altered+boxes+top.jpg" width="287" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br />
here's the top view<br />
I used a tag from the paper line as the top paper, it fit perfectly . <br />
added some Prima pearls ,a trinket from the paper line, a little Prima rose, that I had sprayed with glimmer mist. <br />
Now the two large roses that you see, and also the green leaves, are from the Marion Smith's printable rolled roses.<br />
I love how they turned out.<br />
<br />
If you ever get any of those soaps that come in those cardboard boxes, with the pullout drawer.<br />
don't throw them out<br />
don't just stuff things in them and hide them away <br />
alter them<br />
you can see the possibilities are endless. <br />
</div>

Hey everyone got another tutu done.<br />
If you're wondering where I get my inspiration for these, the lady over at Kell Belle, <br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.kellbellestudio.blogspot.com/"><span style="color: #cc0000;">http://www.kellbellestudio.blogspot.com/</span></a><br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
has a corset diaries going on this year, and she gives you the patterns for the bodice. <br />
While these corset diaries corsets, are gorgeous they are also basically flat paper items . She does show you that she's made a 3-D corset , but doesn't show you how to do it .I have used her patterns added a side panel to them, to make a form. And over this form I make the papier-mâché bodice .<br />
which I then cut off the form,and then in this way I can reuse the form.<br />
While hers are all basically paper , . The only part of mine that is paper, is the bodice and then I use ribbons, and tulle, and lace . . Basically I make it my own . <br />
Also instead of just posting regular pictures , I took my pictures into creative suite, and there did a little fussy background with them , so I hope you like it and here's my pictures . <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T_EhAfTsQ0c/UYJbFb-YttI/AAAAAAAAAvY/Ozw9r18QRrI/s1600/tutu+front.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="288" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-T_EhAfTsQ0c/UYJbFb-YttI/AAAAAAAAAvY/Ozw9r18QRrI/s320/tutu+front.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here she is </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The front view.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think I will call this one</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Willow Fae.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
she is decked out with the papier-mâché bodice of , </div>
ivy green, being the upper part, with a mauve under bust, then over these colors are rubbings of perfect pearls copper dust . She has a chocolate tulle skirt, with a mauve floral ribbon, below the waistline, and as the shoulder strap . She also has 2 wild orchid miniature roses, at the center front waistline . . At the very top of the under bust is a row of mauve liquid pearls.<br />
( by the way the hanger is a Kell Belle project, she has the tutorial on her site .)<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uFh_T_m_YNI/UYJbDo42bXI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/YqIAJAkz6PA/s1600/TuTu+back.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="304" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uFh_T_m_YNI/UYJbDo42bXI/AAAAAAAAAvQ/YqIAJAkz6PA/s320/TuTu+back.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Okay here's the back view<br />
I have the bodice being laced from the top to the middle, and from the bottom to the middle so the bow is in the center of the bodice.<br />
I used seam binding that I colored with sugar Maple and vintage pink glimmer mist . <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eb9gy_xjFh0/UYJbGjRw4-I/AAAAAAAAAvg/oupQqR3p170/s1600/tutu+side.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="253" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eb9gy_xjFh0/UYJbGjRw4-I/AAAAAAAAAvg/oupQqR3p170/s320/tutu+side.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
this is a side view just showing how dimensional this tutu is . </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The bodice itself is 3 inches high, and the overall tutu, from the top of the straps to the bottom of the tulle measures 10 inches.. So this is pretty good-sized. </div>
</div>

I made this tutu out of paper mache, ribbon, little flowers, and trims.</div>
<div align="center">
I think it turned out beautifully.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Iz6jS00hYOA/UWxwWrGlWlI/AAAAAAAAAuM/YksVQlx9IsY/s1600/IMG_2013_04_15_0031.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Iz6jS00hYOA/UWxwWrGlWlI/AAAAAAAAAuM/YksVQlx9IsY/s320/IMG_2013_04_15_0031.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Front view</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I did paint the paper mache dress part </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9blia6MYK8Y/UWxwXg-RuZI/AAAAAAAAAuU/PGcgIT6Y3mc/s1600/IMG_2013_04_15_0050.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9blia6MYK8Y/UWxwXg-RuZI/AAAAAAAAAuU/PGcgIT6Y3mc/s320/IMG_2013_04_15_0050.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
side view</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I got this by using wired ribbon and cutting the wire part off at the top, and then flaring the pleats out that I put into the ribbon before attaching. I also added gathered tulle under the ribbon</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-s9uEF6OmiKE/UWxwYPdsuVI/AAAAAAAAAuc/cC3Z-OPOLlw/s1600/IMG_2013_04_15_0049.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-s9uEF6OmiKE/UWxwYPdsuVI/AAAAAAAAAuc/cC3Z-OPOLlw/s320/IMG_2013_04_15_0049.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>

And the back view</div>
<div align="center">
I drilled holes through the dress form, and after putting on the skirt ,and bodice trim, I then threaded the seam binding through for the tie.</div>

I am going to make more of these. And can't wait to see how they turn out.</div>

So I saw these Cork ornaments on Pinterest, and I thought they were gorgeous. One thing nice about them, is you get to enjoy drinking a bottle of wine to get the Cork. So I decided to try it and here is a picture of what I came up with.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YzBOTHUvvdE/UV2EbF0h6eI/AAAAAAAAArk/8-U6J1oa86E/s1600/cork+ornaments.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="212" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-YzBOTHUvvdE/UV2EbF0h6eI/AAAAAAAAArk/8-U6J1oa86E/s320/cork+ornaments.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think my favorite is the one with the birds nest at the top, although the bee is pretty neat.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Okay you're wondering what you do with these besides just hanging them around. well you put them around the neck of a wine bottle, would that not make a terrific gift, a bottle wine, and a wine cork ornament, in a wine box. Now my mind is going. And I'm going to have to figure out how to do a wine box. So I hope you like the picture. Please ignore that little section hanging down from the bee on the right hand side . I hadn't taken the heat gun to it to get rid of all the glue webs ,but it's gone now. </div>

So I just finished my paper phenomenons February 2013 bonus project the paper that I used is DCWV the butterfly garden. Shown below are some of the pages of this awesome project. It took me three days to complete this. The first day I cut and scored all the pages, the second day I put it together, and the third day I matted.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qPGbf0_w9o0/UUEWLXssEyI/AAAAAAAAAqU/VgMXy69co3A/s1600/IMG_0915.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qPGbf0_w9o0/UUEWLXssEyI/AAAAAAAAAqU/VgMXy69co3A/s320/IMG_0915.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is the front of the project. In it's folded position</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9bxQ-z_T-20/UUEWUK63cKI/AAAAAAAAAqc/eSzWlOTwcl4/s1600/IMG_0916.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9bxQ-z_T-20/UUEWUK63cKI/AAAAAAAAAqc/eSzWlOTwcl4/s320/IMG_0916.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Close-up of the Tim Holtz pins that I used as a closure for the flap</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3jAYBTAWMqM/UUEWWS3OXHI/AAAAAAAAAqk/NO31vdlnEOo/s1600/IMG_0917.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-3jAYBTAWMqM/UUEWWS3OXHI/AAAAAAAAAqk/NO31vdlnEOo/s320/IMG_0917.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This I'm showing opening the flap and there is a large 8 x 10 photo Matt in a pocket</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TSUd6yAxEy0/UUEWwdQKTtI/AAAAAAAAAqs/obPtDkfehhU/s1600/IMG_0918.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TSUd6yAxEy0/UUEWwdQKTtI/AAAAAAAAAqs/obPtDkfehhU/s320/IMG_0918.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here is the first page completely open, on the far left with the yellow paper is the photo Matt that's in the pocket, in the center is an other photo Matt, what you see on the far right is the flap that closes the unit up.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--Z9N4qg4fKk/UUEWz3wP-dI/AAAAAAAAAq8/212YvY3TRdw/s1600/IMG_0919.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/--Z9N4qg4fKk/UUEWz3wP-dI/AAAAAAAAAq8/212YvY3TRdw/s320/IMG_0919.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
On opening it up one more time.You see to the left a pocket with the black photo Matt, three pockets in the center with three black photo Matt's, two more little pockets that will hold luggage tags on both sides of he centr matts. On the right you can see that there's another section to be opened.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7ilIanuU0ZM/UUEWwWjFveI/AAAAAAAAAq0/XtagtvsHlYg/s1600/IMG_0922.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7ilIanuU0ZM/UUEWwWjFveI/AAAAAAAAAq0/XtagtvsHlYg/s320/IMG_0922.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This is what you see when you open the second section, you see there are six little pockets with six black photo mats, and I just put a stationary photo Matt in the center of the bottom . To the right of that is another pocket with the another black photo Matt</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t_oUrUvZfoM/UUEXFABnDhI/AAAAAAAAArE/sR5INhVjNf8/s1600/IMG_0923.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t_oUrUvZfoM/UUEXFABnDhI/AAAAAAAAArE/sR5INhVjNf8/s320/IMG_0923.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then if you flip the page one more time, you see this section which are six little flip pockets with the pink photo mats that come out </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m7tElf3Bac8/UUEXOf68zRI/AAAAAAAAArQ/USbZShzL194/s1600/IMG_0926.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-m7tElf3Bac8/UUEXOf68zRI/AAAAAAAAArQ/USbZShzL194/s320/IMG_0926.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When you flip all of those open, it reveals another section, that has six photo matt pockets, and behind those are pink photo mats, that slides completely out . </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ynm9FEzLMFA/UUEXOgTWbeI/AAAAAAAAArM/s9X1fhxzzZU/s320/IMG_0927.JPG" width="320" /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And then finally closing it all back up. you see the back of the project. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There are so many areas, in which to place photos, and journaling, that you'll find yourself opening and closing this book alot.This was a very fun project to make . </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="background-color: white; color: black;">I finally got something done. It's been a while winter was not easy on people this year. So finally got some energy and decided to make the gentleman crafter's traveling watch box. The papers I use was recollections Regent Street. We needed to get my husbands watches in one place as he inherited some from his dad. I thought this would be the perfect project.</span></div>

With all the mini books that we make, I have finally put two pictures into one of the books. The rest of the book my daughter can put their own pictures in. This is a very belated anniversary gift. So here are the two pictures of the two pictures, in a mini album.LOL.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNs6caAY_Cc/UMy0nLULCYI/AAAAAAAAAoY/8zRtZ8n6Q-U/s1600/everlasting.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="309" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZNs6caAY_Cc/UMy0nLULCYI/AAAAAAAAAoY/8zRtZ8n6Q-U/s320/everlasting.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I figured I would put my daughter walking down the aisle in the top picture, and the picture below is a picture of my son-in-law on the second page.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And believe me the pictures didn't look like this, I had to take them into Photoshop and really work with them, the pictures of her wedding did not turn out very well . The photographer was not very good, so. I had to take out all the clutter, all the people in the background, and all the white splotches all over the pictures . So yeah I think I'm done with the pictures .</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ElimaYySf7o/UMy0pNXe1AI/AAAAAAAAAog/Qnxbm-b4ZtQ/s1600/everlasting+groom.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ElimaYySf7o/UMy0pNXe1AI/AAAAAAAAAog/Qnxbm-b4ZtQ/s320/everlasting+groom.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And then for the rest of the album. I figured if they wanted anymore of their wedding pictures in they could put them in themselves . And then for the rest of the book, they can pick out favorite pictures of their lives as they progress through their marriage.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
this way maybe one of the mini albums will actually get pictures put into a more than just these two.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
anyone else have this type of problem mini albums not so many pictures . </div>
Mardihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01260963139071508030noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7709597008957393487.post-82074117043656148832012-12-15T09:30:00.003-08:002012-12-15T09:30:22.397-08:00Projects made from gentleman crafter's site So the gentleman crafter's site had a couple projects, I just had to make.<br />
The first one being carriage clocks, I only have pictures of the first one, which is the whitewashed one I made for my craft room. I'll have to go to hubbies place of business to get pictures of the one that's on his desk as it is steam punk and goes in with his style right now.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DcxF2LmZDNI/UMyuq2OUDZI/AAAAAAAAAnc/4c0ZWg4cDSI/s1600/carriage+clock.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DcxF2LmZDNI/UMyuq2OUDZI/AAAAAAAAAnc/4c0ZWg4cDSI/s320/carriage+clock.jpg" width="256" /></a></div>
<br />
This is showing the front view of the clock and the color of the hands is created by using alcohol inks. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UQopMnkBWEA/UMyuyXqtjNI/AAAAAAAAAnk/PoMNW_KpIJw/s1600/carriage+clock+top.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-UQopMnkBWEA/UMyuyXqtjNI/AAAAAAAAAnk/PoMNW_KpIJw/s320/carriage+clock+top.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is just showing the top view and how I decorated it .</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
AND NOW</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
this next picture I made for hubbies office space.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
it just screamed out to be made .</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A HOT AIR BALLOON ORNAMENT</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
now I couldn't find the foil material that he used , so I got my thinking cap on and thought, why not use aluminum foil , so I cut strips to fit into my xyron sticker maker , and ran it through. then I cut the strips into littler strips and started adhering them to the ornament .when it came time to apply the black paint and wipe it off. None of the paint stayed on the foil, not even in the creases, so I get my thinking cap on, what else can I use to color aluminum foil . Ta Daa! I used alcohol inks , . I think it turned out pretty well for not being able to have all the right equipment that he used .</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GGq7IEtoMMc/UMyvmOI621I/AAAAAAAAAns/r0-PHNEEHQ0/s1600/steampunk.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GGq7IEtoMMc/UMyvmOI621I/AAAAAAAAAns/r0-PHNEEHQ0/s320/steampunk.jpg" width="256" /></a></div>
Mardihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01260963139071508030noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7709597008957393487.post-79207542753278951102012-12-15T09:06:00.002-08:002012-12-15T09:06:56.759-08:00And other project finishedThis one I've been working on for a while, I have already made a gas pump before, but this one is for my grandson. Someone else from our P.I.T.A. babes made her gas pump into a bank. So that's what I did with this one. I turned it into a bank, with his favorite critters (dinosaurs).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2n2EoIuQPcA/UMypzdU511I/AAAAAAAAAmc/4sRMbtA6zRY/s1600/gas+pump+front+view.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2n2EoIuQPcA/UMypzdU511I/AAAAAAAAAmc/4sRMbtA6zRY/s320/gas+pump+front+view.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The dinosaur that is on the top. I cut out of shrinky-dink and then shrunk it and it fits right inside the circle .</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V5ZkGD8Qg3I/UMyp6fvDadI/AAAAAAAAAmk/9lvvR3PwF0s/s1600/gas+pump+close.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V5ZkGD8Qg3I/UMyp6fvDadI/AAAAAAAAAmk/9lvvR3PwF0s/s320/gas+pump+close.JPG" width="213" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is a close-up of the front of the bank, what it says is:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
this sale</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
$1,000,000.00</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
2,000,000 </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
gallons at </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
.50</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
cents per gallon</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
and in the bottom part says </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Fossil</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Fuel</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
doesn't really show it as well in the picture, but when you're looking at it in real life, it looks like the area where the words are printed on has been ambered. What I did, I took regular typing paper distressed it with vintage photo distress ink.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
and then I took and put clear embossing powder on top of it an embossed it, it soaked completely through the typing paper , and made it look like it was in Amber . </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZRgF_0gIvrw/UMyp60eW90I/AAAAAAAAAms/JVMQc7mWfQ4/s1600/gas+pump+back.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZRgF_0gIvrw/UMyp60eW90I/AAAAAAAAAms/JVMQc7mWfQ4/s320/gas+pump+back.jpg" width="228" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
this picture is showing the back view, and the area you would put the coins in </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mc7YTtiQLNw/UMyqBgBlNzI/AAAAAAAAAm0/yyRdBVawX6w/s1600/gas+pump+match+books.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-mc7YTtiQLNw/UMyqBgBlNzI/AAAAAAAAAm0/yyRdBVawX6w/s320/gas+pump+match+books.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
even though I turned the gas pump into a coin bank, I still made the little matchbook holders that would go inside, there are three and I'malso showing you the little photo cards I made to put inside. and what else would you put inside the dinosaur bank and it's matchbook covers but pictures of dinos. really enjoyed making this one a very easy project .</div>

.. Mardihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01260963139071508030noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7709597008957393487.post-39103200681063030832012-12-15T08:43:00.000-08:002012-12-15T08:43:39.274-08:00Wow it's been a long time<br />
Boy has it been a long time. So I finally got my act together, and got some pictures taken of my finished crafts. So let's start off with the first one. This one I think is the most fantastic item that I have made from a tutorial yet. Kathy from paper phenomenon really out did herself on this one. So here a couple of pictures of my completed project.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fCiNB0pIfiQ/UMynphnARlI/AAAAAAAAAmM/gmn7wJCfeok/s1600/typewriter+front.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-fCiNB0pIfiQ/UMynphnARlI/AAAAAAAAAmM/gmn7wJCfeok/s320/typewriter+front.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dFm5HFnsi2k/UMynttKIbdI/AAAAAAAAAmU/0RrsSiJdRO0/s1600/typewriter+side.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-dFm5HFnsi2k/UMynttKIbdI/AAAAAAAAAmU/0RrsSiJdRO0/s320/typewriter+side.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I love how this turned out. And it's really hard to believe it is all made from chipboard paper and a few knickknacks here and there.</div>
Mardihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01260963139071508030noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7709597008957393487.post-198182233917346002012-10-02T11:39:00.001-07:002012-10-02T11:39:24.578-07:00So time consuming so much funThis project is very time-consuming, and so much fun to make. The pattern was given to us by our own OZGRAN. And she did a fantastic job coming up with this pattern, and then to share with everyone, what a wonderful lady. So this is my version, with the colors that I want to use in my craft room, and with a slight little twist.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-D9uF4T-3CKk/UGsx9vdyHcI/AAAAAAAAAlg/GOrOOlaBADI/s1600/distress+tower.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-D9uF4T-3CKk/UGsx9vdyHcI/AAAAAAAAAlg/GOrOOlaBADI/s320/distress+tower.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It's hard to tell by the picture, what I did with the painting is I slathered on so much paint just willy-nilly, and not very neat, and made it look like the farmhouse that had paint on paint on paint on paint. I added a little bit of pink in with the white, and then I took antique linen distress ink and edged all around it. I used romance novels paper. And here's the twist. While the tower is on a swivel, at the top( my hubby had an old metal swivel piece, he's had it for years and years and years)<br />
so I took it made a round base added a half inch rim around it using a paper hinge and glue method. Then I took a strip of paper and paper punched the edge, and added it around the round base. So the tower swivels and the Lazy Susan on top swivels. Ie tower is filled with distress inks (whoa is me not very full :( ), and at the top, I put alcohol inks, a distressing handle, and the alcohol solution. Also something that I did on the underside of the distress inks cases, Iput a round sticky Velcro,( the side with the teeth ) and when I take this sponge off the handle I stick it to the bottom of the case and insert it all into the tower, so distress ink and sponge are altogether. Love love love this project.Mardihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01260963139071508030noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7709597008957393487.post-1084639757490439432012-10-02T11:24:00.003-07:002012-10-02T11:24:19.112-07:00My I'm not a wedding albumSo Kathy did a project on paper phenomenon, a wedding album. Mine is not a wedding album, LOL. This was also a very easy project. The fabric you see on the outside used to be white velvet. I took and glimmer misted it to get the color that I wanted.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HtLkK0jmZB0/UGsvdD7bL6I/AAAAAAAAAlE/e_QMspvchP8/s1600/wedding+album.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-HtLkK0jmZB0/UGsvdD7bL6I/AAAAAAAAAlE/e_QMspvchP8/s320/wedding+album.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
This is the front, and as you can see on the fabric. Yes, I did use two different colors of glimmer mist. I remember one being Maple and can't remember what the other one was.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-osj-k1Aumzo/UGsv620Bc9I/AAAAAAAAAlU/12O7GM9zYMI/s1600/iside+view+wed..jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-osj-k1Aumzo/UGsv620Bc9I/AAAAAAAAAlU/12O7GM9zYMI/s320/iside+view+wed..jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
When you open the box up you have a standalone double-sided picture frame</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WwFdd_F1m94/UGsvtp4HzWI/AAAAAAAAAlM/tXVlJuvez7g/s1600/wedding+albums.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WwFdd_F1m94/UGsvtp4HzWI/AAAAAAAAAlM/tXVlJuvez7g/s320/wedding+albums.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
And there are two albums inside the box . They're both shown here ,but what I did was on one album . The pages that have a flap I used a key. On the other album the pages that has flaps, I used the keyhole .So hope you guys like the project and colors that I used, wish I could remember the paper line. Love how it turned out<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AcNORXei3v4/UGstgpzPNNI/AAAAAAAAAkw/fVcbYE5xa7Y/s1600/traveling+case.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-AcNORXei3v4/UGstgpzPNNI/AAAAAAAAAkw/fVcbYE5xa7Y/s320/traveling+case.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
. The only difficulty I had with this project, was trying to take the pictures. Thank goodness there's a lock on the case, as Mr. image kept trying to get inside of it and knocking it over.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VAvqCSa-QYk/UGsuFah3gzI/AAAAAAAAAk4/-GV_pKPyM4A/s1600/inside+case.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-VAvqCSa-QYk/UGsuFah3gzI/AAAAAAAAAk4/-GV_pKPyM4A/s320/inside+case.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And this is showing the inside of the case. There is plenty of room for a lot the pictures. The little booklet on the right was a bonus project for kit club members. I did it up in the same papers and added it to this project.</div>

One for myself and one for my husband side of the couch. Valhalla was really impressed with how they turned out, he wanted me to make for more for his employees at work. He also wanted papers to represent each person's personality or what they're interested in. So here's the pictures of ours at home and the ones with employees. Oh, and one of them was a special one for himself the boss in steam punk for work.<br />

This was a fantastic project, and I love how it turned out.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yfJAXDDWSBQ/UGse1BwZoiI/AAAAAAAAAhA/aBNXlwy_yc0/s1600/roll+top.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yfJAXDDWSBQ/UGse1BwZoiI/AAAAAAAAAhA/aBNXlwy_yc0/s320/roll+top.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is the front view with the front closed and the rolltop down</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4ryeC12kfwI/UGsfHdZWhMI/AAAAAAAAAhM/Q0qcmcr_1_o/s1600/inside+roll+top.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-4ryeC12kfwI/UGsfHdZWhMI/AAAAAAAAAhM/Q0qcmcr_1_o/s320/inside+roll+top.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is with it rolltop up and the front down and you can see the drawers back in there</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
. I couldn't get enough of the same drawer pulls so I made it look like a man got in there and just but whatever he could find .. Love the way this look. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j-Flndztj1s/UGslgugTt0I/AAAAAAAAAic/mtlhgDs0y9A/s1600/IMG_0780.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-j-Flndztj1s/UGslgugTt0I/AAAAAAAAAic/mtlhgDs0y9A/s320/IMG_0780.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And this is a side view of the paper I used with Mr. Image getting into the act. I know this project looks really difficult, but it is well written, and very easy to make and with the way that you double, all the chipboard this project is very sturdy. The only thing that I did different is where on the rolltop Jim only uses the chipboard and Kraft paper ,well behind the Kraft paper I also added tyvek.Mardihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01260963139071508030noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7709597008957393487.post-34179632209031170552012-10-02T10:31:00.005-07:002012-10-02T10:31:43.452-07:00Vintage cameraThis is a vintage camera that was made from the designs of Laura with following the paper trail.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-crwSVnLQpbs/UGselemdW8I/AAAAAAAAAg4/xkYC0XTdGsk/s1600/cmera+back.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-crwSVnLQpbs/UGselemdW8I/AAAAAAAAAg4/xkYC0XTdGsk/s320/cmera+back.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The black part that you're seeing coming out of the middle of the camera is where tags go in. That's the only part of this project I didn't like, when you put the tags in there's nothing to hold the other side and they sort of tilt.And the edges show but it's a lovely piece put on your mantle for show.</div>

It's canning season, so far I've got pumpkin, butternut squash, tomato sauce, salsa, tomato jam, frozen green peppers. I've also been making my own yogurt, yummy.<br /><br /> I have been crafting, but have not had time to take pictures to post. I'm hoping later this week to get the pictures taken. And be able to post them for everyone to see, there's quite a bit that I got done.<br />
So everyone have a crafting good week, and hoping to post at you later this week. The paper on top of the dresser, I coated with glossy accents, it now looks like in-laid glass. It was pretty but missing somethin. I was watching Jennings644 on Youtube, she was making minitures out of beads, so gave it a try and now my dresser looks complete.<br />

The theme is summer, we are to make three sets of three stick pins all identical. I've gone ahead and started mine, made an extra one just in case, we have more people sign up. If not, then I got an extra one for myself, LOL. We are also to make the matchboook in which the pins go into So here's my version.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JzOGCNoz0vs/UCab5lGPuHI/AAAAAAAAAd0/qjpAjIlepyQ/s1600/IMG_0746.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JzOGCNoz0vs/UCab5lGPuHI/AAAAAAAAAd0/qjpAjIlepyQ/s320/IMG_0746.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UeFkyYLqqgM/UCacB0cgK4I/AAAAAAAAAd8/QWpDazCVjfE/s1600/IMG_0745.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UeFkyYLqqgM/UCacB0cgK4I/AAAAAAAAAd8/QWpDazCVjfE/s320/IMG_0745.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
Yeah I now I can't count. There are four stick pins, I just needed a small one to even out the weight in the matchbook, it was heavy on one side and the one with the bird had to be in the center. As it's feathers wouldn't fit otherwise, and the large purled one would not fit on the other side, well not right in my opinion.Mardihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01260963139071508030noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7709597008957393487.post-22888323565210915792012-08-11T10:47:00.000-07:002012-08-11T10:47:07.928-07:00Two more masksJust finished two more masks, the greenish colored one, reminds me of under the sea And the blue-black one I'm calling midnights music. Love making these and working with the feathers, you just never know how it's going to look, until you get done.<br />

This is how mine turned out.<br />
This little card is closed with a hidden magnet, opens out to show two pockets on the left-hand side ,a small picture mat that flips up in the center, that shows yet another flap that will hold a picture, and it also flips up to reveal yet another area for pictures This card is so jampacked with little secrets.<br />
Thanks Betty, loved this class. S<br />

Well going to see how many I can get on my post today. I tried to post some of this last week but every time I got halfway through a storm would come in, and Internet would go off, so far got two things posted and trying for the third, looking sort of iffy outside.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The following pictures are of some dress forms I cut using Tim Holtz die, and then decorating. Also, you'll see some mini frames that you can buy at Michaels. I saw someone on YouTube do this, and I don't remember her name. You take velvet and stuffing and you put it in side the picture frame replace the backing and you have a place for stick pins, if anyone knows the you tubers name, please write it down in the comments.</div>
